1/6/2012 Winnie The Pooh

Tonight, I hung out with Ashley. We went to the Culvers and then stopped at a Redbox. It was very cold for the sixty degree weather I’ve been getting used to, so we were rushed in our decision. The choices were The Help, Captain America, and Winnie the Pooh. Both of us had not yet seen Captain America or Winnie the Pooh, so that is what we watched.

I grew up with Winnie the Pooh and my God Mother/favorite aunt is the biggest Winnie the Pooh fan I know. When I was 12, I got The Tigger Movie for my birthday and I loved it. This movie was good but the plot was weak. It’s almost all based on a misinterpreted note left by Christopher Robin. The animation was very well done and not too different from the originals as to be a distraction. Zooey Deschanel’s songs were very cute. Some of the voices were different than the old ones I watched and Gopher’s humor was missed as well. Overall, very good mainly because of the nostalgia factor. 2, A- because it’s so stinkin’ cute.
